“First Rate Support”

Annabelle and the HR Services Partnership team have always provided us with first rate support. At first I wasn’t sure whether it was necessary to sign up with an HR support firm but I soon realised how invaluable and what a great investment it is to be able to pick up the phone to discuss tricky issues with an expert in the potential minefield of HR – who also happens to be a very nice person!  We are always reassured by the clear solutions that we receive and I feel relieved that, thanks to their excellent guidance, we have updated all our staff contracts and produced our own comprehensive staff handbook.  Annabelle has also devised and led 2 staff Away Days for us, based on Insights Discovery, in a very professional and sensitive way.  This has been crucial in averting potential problems by helping our employees understand each other better and develop as a team. I unreservedly recommend using HR Services Partnership!

Grania Farrow ATT - Practice Manager

"Impressed with the entire process"

The Council and I were very impressed with the entire process and support received during our recent recruitment process with HR Services Partnership. Through their support we were able to increase our professional approach from the very start. By working with HR Services Partnership, we were able to find strong candidates, focus our shortlisting and adapt our interview approach.  This led to effectively drawing out candidates strengths at interview, to then evaluate the skills required specifically for our council and suitability for the role.

HR Services Partnership has provided invaluable support and a positive learning curve.

Jan Capon – Parish Clerk – Loose Parish Council.

"highly responsive service"

HR Services Partnership have been our HR partner for over three years during which time they have provided vital support to both senior management and the trustee board at a time of significant organisational change. We have been fortunate to have Annabelle Carey supporting us through this journey who, along with her colleagues, has provided a friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and highly responsive service. They have been an excellent partner and I highly recommend them to any charity seeking quality HR support.

David Roberts - Head of Operations - NASEN

"Fantastic support"

HR Services Partnership have provided us with fantastic support across a wide range of issues from collating our staff handbook through to advice on managing sickness absence and communicating effectively. Not only do they provide a professional and responsive service, but they took the time to understand our unique and complicated set-up, helping us to operate more effectively in line with our ethos and values. I highly recommend them.”

Jon Jolly, Business Manager, Arun Community Church

Team Building with Insights Discovery

The Insights training day run by HR Services Partnership had the benefit of helping us identify shared principles and service priorities, whilst at the same time appreciating and valuing the individual contributions made to the collective team effort.  The day was insightful, stimulating and a great way to develop the way that our diverse team work together.  Aside from the well prepared serious training elements, the exercises were a big hit and Insight Reports provided a great deal of to talk about afterwards!

Martin Collett, Operations Director, English Rural Housing Association

Leadership and Management Team development

In an increasingly uncertain environment we needed to be sure that our leadership and management teams were working effectively and in the strongest position possible to rise to the challenges ahead. We were fortunate enough to have Annabelle Carey to support us through this journey. Annabelle ran a number of bespoke sessions that have helped us to understand our group dynamics and get the best out of each other. Her knowledge of the subject and her efficiency combined well with her personal style and measured pace of delivery that meant that not only were ALL completely engaged in the process, but wholeheartedly enjoyed it and now look forward to the challenges ahead. We hope that Annabelle will come back again to follow up in due course.

“Quick to grasp the details of any issue”

Changing Faces has 40 staff mainly in London and also in Edinburgh and Sheffield.  We have been delighted with their reliable, responsive and sensitive support on a range of HR issues, both small and large, since 2011.  They are always quick to grasp the details of any issue, and provide proposals or solutions on time, as needed.  Their pricing structure is very flexible, and terms can be varied to suit the level of support required. I recommend them highly to any charity seeking quality HR support.

Christine Muskett - Head of Operational Support, Changing Faces

The strategic and change management advice… was outstanding….”

The Federation of Master Builders (FMB) is the UK’s largest trade association in the construction sector. I have worked closely with Maria Aguilar, Director of HR Services Partnership since I was appointed CEO in 2012 to transform the FMB into a profitable and modern forward thinking trade association. The strategic and change management advice that I received from Maria during the substantial restructure of the FMB was outstanding and instrumental in creating the new FMB that we have today. This was recognised last year when we were awarded Investors in People. Maria and her team consistently and willingly provide innovative and business focussed solutions to meet our changing business needs. The enthusiasm, dedication and professional support that we receive from HR Services Partnership is second to none. I can’t recommend them more highly!

Brian Berry - Chief Executive, Federation of Master Builders

Exceptional in every regard”

HR Services Partnership have been Creative Skillset’s chosen strategic HR partner since 2009.  They have always given us exemplary support, in a very wide variety of circumstances. They are always totally responsive regardless of whether it is a simple phone call to sense check a situation out of the blue, or a large-scale project carried out over a number of weeks. The projects they have worked with us on stretch from undertaking a full review of our grading and banding structures, through major organisational re-structure, to compiling our staff opinion surveys and collating the findings for feedback. Their approach is always highly professional, personal and friendly. They work smoothly alongside our HR team on a day-to-day basis,  and then embed themselves without disruption for larger scale projects.  Our relationship is one of the utmost respect and trust, and they always truly meet and exceed our expectations. I cannot recommend them highly enough – HR Services Partnership are exceptional in every regard.

Gary Townsend Vila – Deputy CEO, Creative Skillset

“They have been an excellent partner in our work”

The Institute for Learning is the professional body for teachers and trainers in the FE and Skills sector and the HR Services Partnership were recommended to us by a sister professional body three years ago. Since then it has been a very volatile environment for us and for all membership organisations and we have found the professional advice we have received on organisational change and significant re-structuring invaluable. The team at the HR Services Partnership are friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, responsive and highly sensitive to our needs – they have been an excellent partner in our work and in turn, we recommend them wholeheartedly to others.

Dr Jean Kelly - Director of Professional Development - Institute for Learning

“They understand the requirements of our sector”

The primary objective of the Jigsaw Trust is to improve the lives of those affected by an autism spectrum disorder through the provision of high quality, accessible, educational, vocational and wellbeing services. Over the past 6 years, The HR Services Partnership have provided us with excellent advice and guidance on a range of HR issues that has always been invaluable, particularly as they understand the requirements of our sector. They are friendly, professional, responsive to our needs and always deliver what we need when we need it.

Kate Sarama – Head of HR - Jigsaw School

“A crucial and very cost effective service”

BeyondAutism runs two rapidly expanding schools for children with severe autism and have been working with HR Services for 10 years.  As our staff numbers increase we are continually faced with new HR challenges and are not yet able to have our own specialist HR function.  HR services are able to fill this gap and offer a crucial and very cost effective service.  I like their flexible pricing options and the immediate availability of advice.  When we have had complex problems to solve I have felt HR Services are with us all the way, engaging with our complexity and offering sensible, lawful and  bespoke solutions.

Paul Doocey - Chief Operating Officer – BeyondAutism

"HRSP have played a vital role"

HRSP have been our HR partner for over three years during which they have played a vital role in supporting me and the trustee board to drive significant organisational change as well as developing and embedding excellent HR practice in the new organisation.

What I like about them is their ability to offer a comprehensive service from the procedural right through to senior level strategic. Their obvious expertise in organisational and cultural change has been vital and they have also provided staff at all levels with robust HR advice including where necessary redundancy and retirement.
As our HR partner they have been involved in training staff and ensuring managers are fully equipped to manage.
They have assisted me significantly in the development of new policies and procedures including a comprehensive pay and reward scheme.

I have no hesitation in recommending HRSP, indeed I recommend them to colleagues in the sector on a regular basis.

Fiona Blacke, Chief Executive, The National Youth Agency

"It would have been impossible to have managed the process without them"

Herts Aid is a sexual health and HIV support charity based in Hertfordshire. We approached HR Services Partnership earlier this year to provide HR advice for a TUPE transfer.  HRSP assisted us in what can only be described as an incredibly complex and difficult transfer situation.
The service we received from HR Services Partnership was extremely thorough, professional and provided comprehensive, detailed advice throughout the entire process.  We felt supported and reliably informed every step of the way. It would have been impossible to have managed the process without them, and I am extremely grateful for their fantastic service, which on many occasions went beyond the call of duty.

Suzanne Bannister, Director - Herts Aid

"Highly competent, flexible and friendly"

The Society of the Little Flower has been using HR Services Partnership since 2007. During that time we have made use of a variety of the services they offer from basic advice to relocation/redundancy consultation, recruitment and training, grievance and disciplinary. The response to all queries is fast, helpful and friendly; their advice is clear and comprehensive; their support invaluable. For organisations too small to field their own HR department, you cannot do better than enlist the services of HR Services Partnership for a competitively priced, highly competent, flexible and friendly service.

Miranda Litchfield, Director - The Society of the Little Flower

"I have found it invaluable"

We are a small but rapidly growing arts charity and have therefore needed expert consultancy on a whole range of personnel matters during a time of major growth and chance. I have found it invaluable to be able to approach HR Services Partnership at a moment's notice, in the knowledge that I was going to receive help and advice that is up-to-date, and pertinent to our sector, size and budget

Vanessa Swann, Chief Executive - Cockpit Arts.

"Improving our business performance and effectiveness"

The HR Services Partnership have been instrumental in supporting the BDA over the past few years in improving our business performance and effectiveness. They have offered a variety of HR, training and strategic advisory services which have enabled us to be more flexible and forward thinking in challenging times. I have found them to be extremely responsive and helpful, providing innovative ideas and solutions. I would highly recommend them as a supplier

Andy Burman, Chief Executive - The British Dietetic Association

"Very efficient and professional service"

For us as a union finding an organisation that offered a “cultural fit" as well as being able to handle all of our HR management was vital. HR Services Partnership has met all of our expectations and has provided us with a very efficient and professional service. This has allowed the union to concentrate its core activity - enhancing the student experience.

Danny O'Sullivan, General Manager, Union of Brunel Students

“Making this a stronger organisation”

Over the last year or so we have tested out a range of HR Services Partnership's services, from undertaking a strategic organisational review to detailed and specific HR advice on personnel matters to management training. Their response has always been prompt, professional and cognisant of the needs of the voluntary/community sector. In addition, advice is explained in such a way as to increase our own understanding of legislative and other requirements. They have taken the fear out of some of the most recent and, from the employer's standpoint more onerous, legislation and enabled us to deal with some key personnel matters effectively, making this a stronger organisation.

Sue Dovey, Chief Executive, Community Action Hampshire

“Provided clear guidance”

The guidance and advice I have received from HR Services have been invaluable and helped me avoid the pitfalls that come with employment law.  All the staff I have dealt with have quickly grasped the complex issues I have sought help with and provided clear guidance.  Equally they have happily acted as a sounding board for more routine issues.  I have no hesitation in recommending the excellent service provided by HR Services to others.

Alison Semmence, CEO, Southend Association of Voluntary Services

“Tailored their service and advice”
On being appointed, the HR Services Partnership very quickly understood the ethos and culture of our organisation and tailored their service and advice accordingingly.  In my experience of a range of HR service providers, their help in bringing our HR policies and procedures in line with good practice and regulatory requirements has been second to none.  In addition and equally important, working with all members of their team has been a pleasure.

Adrian Maunders, CEO, English Rural Housing

"A very balanced and impartial view"

Worthing Women’s Aid is a small charity which had no HR experience amongst the Trustees.  The Trustees felt that the staff organisation needed a complete restructure to maximise efficiencies and eliminate negative and non productive divisions among the staff.  We chose HRSP to help us because we felt that they would offer us the hands-on experience we needed to handle the lengthy and potentially complex restructure process.  Rob Evans is our designated HR manager from HRSP and the work that he has done with us on the restructure has been invaluable.  We now have a new Services Manager in place to help steer us through the next exciting few years as we plan to open our second refuge.  Rob is very personable and easy to work with, and he gives us a very balanced and impartial view on potentially difficult staffing matters.  Rob is continuing to help us with our policies and procedures and to support the staff and Trustees alike.  We definitely made the right choice in choosing HRSP and would have no hesitation in recommending them and Rob in particular to other organisations.

Tracie Colin-McKenzie, Trustee - Worthing Women's Aid

"They challenge and advise us very well"

One of the challenges that face charities with a small to medium turnover – and consequently limited resources – is that it’s difficult to afford your own in-house, very up-to-date expertise on how to manage tricky personnel issues, keep your staff handbook and contracts in line with legislative changes and develop appropriate remuneration structures.  And, of course, you need to resolve the occasional challenging HR issues, while succeeding at reaching with integrity; they challenge and advise us very well and this leaves us with exceptional confidence about the way forward in every situation.  I’ve recommended HR Services Partnership to other Chief Executives, who’ve taken them on and thanked me for the referral

Thomas Lawson - Chief Executive - Leap Confronting Conflict

“A professional and efficient service in a friendly, pragmatic way”

I have worked with HRSP during my time as CEO of several charities and would not hesitate to recommend them to others. In my most recent role as CEO for Samaritans we have used HRSP to provide support to our branches regarding employing staff and also to provide independent advice and support to our busy HR team at the Central Charity. HRSP quickly built up good working relationships with the HR team and staff and soon grasped an understanding of our complex structure and unique way of working.  HRSP have provided a professional and efficient service in a friendly, pragmatic way.

Catherine Johnstone, CEO – Samaritans

“Flexible and light on their feet”

Worthing Homes is a social housing provider with 3500 homes and employing 100 people. HR Services Partnership have been our advisors for 7 years and assist us with the full range of services in their field. They are professional, up to date, flexible and light on their feet. We’re happy.

Chris Polden – Chair, Worthing Homes

“Absolutely right every time”

Community Links is a large (c200 employees) but local rooted charity employing a large proportion of local people and previous service users.  After many years of steady growth we were hit hard by public sector cuts, losing one third of our income and having to reduce staff numbers by 25%.   We have an in-house HR team but I turned to the HR Services Partnership when the changes we needed to make to our operating model began to impact on that team.  The HRSP team helped us to redesign our internal business support services and to carry out the restructuring process in an highly effective and efficient way that fitted well with the organisations’ values and approach.  We  have continued to call on advice and support from HSRP when there is a complex or challenging HR issue and really value the fact that they have such a good understanding of the organisation and that it is always possible to get a practical and pragmatic answer quickly.   Their advice has proved to be absolutely right every time and they have enabled us to tackle really tough problems with confidence.  I would recommend them very highly!

Geraldine Blake – CEO, Community Links

“A key asset”

Thank you for the expert guidance and support you have provided Seaford Town Council with over the last few months. This has been a very challenging time for the Council, both Councillors and staff, but with your professional support we have been able to ensure we are following the correct procedures and that we are doing the best not just for the Council and its employees, but also the public. I can personally say that you have been a key asset in enabling the Council to make it through this process and that you for the support that you have given to me and the others involved.

Councillor Mark Brown – Mayor, Seaford Town Council

“Never been disappointed”

When I set up my company in 2007 I engaged the services of HR Services Partnership Ltd on recommendation.  I have never been disappointed with the company.  They have provided all my contracts and staff handbook and regularly update me with legislation.   In recent months, due to a delicate staffing issue, I had to work very closely with Rob Evans to ensure that procedures were followed and that ultimately I protected my company from incurring further financial losses.  Rob was so professional, he guided me through the whole process and was at the end of the phone throughout.  Due to his diligence and thorough knowledge of employment law what could have been a very long and drawn out process was dealt with in a relatively short period of time with limited damage to my company and to the moral of my staff.  I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending HR Services Partnership Ltd.

Anna Davison - Director, Nineteenth Catering
